Maytag Neptune washer and dryer - Paid over $2400 new!! - $300 (Escondido)

Ad: "Matching set of Maytag Neptunes. These were top of the line when bought new and were about $1200 a piece. They are about 8 years old. Dryer is gas and was serviced about a year ago. Works perfect. Washer can be temperamental, I think due to the locking mechanism, but also works just fine. You can see it running a load in the picture I just took. Both are energy star rated and the washer uses very little water per load.

They need to go!

Technically, the washer is model FAV6800 which is not TOL.  The TOL Neptune TL unit is FAV9800 which has a touchscreen panel like the Neptune frontload MAH7500, and also on-board water heating which FAV6800 does not.

If that's true, then...not to rain their parade, but it may be...that was the top of the line available and all these years,that's what they thought their dollars were buying. :0
