Rinse aid dispenser wiring

I’m installing the rinse aid dispenser currently and the instructions for wiring are a bit unclear. I like having a visual to confirm things are wired up correctly and there aren’t really pictures of correct wiring. The pink wire from the rinse aid dispenser connects to terminal 8 on the timer (pretty simple) and the white wire connects to terminal 12 (seems simple as well). I’m supposed to disconnect a black wire which is already connected to terminal 12 to be able to connect the new white wire and then reconnect that same black wire to the extra blade connector on the end of the new white wire that I am installing to terminal 12. I hope that was understandable, lol. First I want to make sure that I’m correct in where each terminal is because the labeling is not as clear on the timer as I would prefer. Also I am not sure where to install the ground wire as it says to connect it to the back of the control panel on the ground screw but isn’t long enough to get there. I have attached some pictures. I just want to make sure everything is connected to the proper terminals. As you can see in the picture there is a number 12 over the letters TM (Timer I assume) there are 2 blade connectors on the terminal below the 12/TM on the timer, one is a white wire one is black and goes to the timer. Am I correct that I remove the black timer wire and that’s where the new white wire connects to the timer? Then afterwards I connect the black timer wire to the extra connector on the end of the new white wire? I can follow schematics somewhat but it’s not something I’ve perfected and I want to be sure I don’t burn up anything. Hopefully the pictures make my ramblings understandable. Normally I would google this but there’s almost zero information or pictures about repairing this machine online. Any help is appreciated.

All done!

Well after searching through the service manual and looking everything over closely I’m pretty confident everything is installed correctly. I found a grounding mount by the left door hinge mount so that is where my ground is connected which I’m hoping is good. It was awesome being able to find a nos dispenser kit for this machine. There are a ton of pictures here that I took during the process of installing the new dispenser. My daughter Lilyana decided to help me out a little too. I also took a picture of the motor and belt area just for fun while I was working on things. It’s super clean everywhere which is just crazy to me. Thanks again for everyone’s help. Enjoy the pictures!

Looking for ANY help of advice on the WC204 Portable Maytag

The dishwasher just stopped... went to bed it was working.. woke up full of water no power.. appliance man came and said the timer was bad not putting any power out (or getting power) cant remember. I ordered a timer off ebay... the time I received from ebay, it doesn't click when you turn it (like the gear you is stripped) kinda looks like some wires are burnt going to the timer... can I not take the timer apart from ebay and put the gears in it (to hear it click when I turn it)how can I test to power coming into it. I refuse to give up on this dishwasher. I really appreciate ANY HELP

I also am thinking the appliance man just looked at it and said.. yup old dishwasher.. get a new one. Where can I get the schematic persay of it.. what if its the main power cord? Or the wires actually connecting to the timer.. they look a little burnt.. Im just Trying to save it in ANYWAY poss and i dont think the guy looked at it REALLY...

Parts Machine?

I would look for a parts machine near you. Unfortunately I have no extra Maytag parts. The wires by the timer sometimes have some of the soundproofing material on them and that makes them appear burnt, but you’ll have to inspect them to be sure. There are service manuals here on this site for this machine and on Google if you look, which should guide you towards the correct part numbers if you need parts. My dishwasher had the schematics inside the door panel when I removed it but it could be missing. The schematics are also in the service manual though as well. If you are familiar with using a multimeter you can test wires and circuits for continuity if you believe this to be a wiring problem. Just be sure to do any electrical work or tests with the machine unplugged. I have found some old reverse rack machines locally so I’d keep an eye out on the marketplace. I hope this helps!
