I am looking to purchase a Maytag Pressure Switch part 205336 for my Maytag LA308 washer. If anyone has one that is new old stock or is known to work, please contact me via email. I will also be checking this post for any responses. Thanks!

I am sure that I would have a few outback on some of my parts machines. But I just checked eBay and there is several listed on there. Some look to be in pretty good condition. They seem to be reasonably priced as well.

That’s awesome. Congratulations. I am really glad you were able to find the part. You just can’t beat these vintage appliances. I work in the profession and I see people all the time having problems with this new garbage they sell today. Part of me feels sorry for the people but the other part of me doesn’t because they’re not willing to buy a used machine. They think they’re too good to buy used and always have to have the latest and greatest. (So they think). So I guess it’s kind of their own fault LOL.

Thanks Jasonlittle! I got tired of buying new appliances that are just not made well. We are in the process of retro-renovating our 1962 ranch and wanted vintage appliances not only for their aesthetics, but for their quality. I have a few vintage appliances that I absolutely love. The only problem is finding anyone who will repair them, which makes my husband nervous as neither of us has any experience in appliance repair. We are handy, but not that handy! I did find a repairman willing to work with me on the washer who hopefully will not be too upset to find out that I repaired it myself since he was out of town when the parts came in and I was just tired of going to the laundromat! I am quite sure I will need his services in the future and he is the only person I have found who was willing to come out to look at my washer. Along with the Maytag set, I own a 1963 Hotpoint stove, a 1962 GE refrigerator, which has been out for repair for a year (a long, frustrating story). My newest acquisition is a 1981 KitchenAid KDS-20 Dishwasher, which is still in the garage awaiting installation.

I love ur stove! I am currently using a microwave oven combo. I love it but it’s just not the right color lol. I and trying to get my whole kitchen done in avacado. I’m looking for a sink, stove, and dishwasher now. I am a appliance tech at a small hometown appliance store in Centerville ia. I have a couple Maytag sets pretty much identical to yours in my show room. I really hate fixing modern appliances. It’s about the same as trying to wash and reuse a styrofoam plate. They r just disposable. My washer and dryer set I use daily are also Maytag. I love them. I think they r so cool!

Thank you.

I love them too. I am very proud of them and take great care of them. I basically completely rebuilt the washer. It has a new motor new belts new bearings new tub seal and I repainted the base that it all sits on. I also got a spare timer so if the timer ever fails I have one.

You’re welcome Jason. It’s nice that you appreciate the older machines. If you were a little closer in distance I would have you look at the transmission of my model 70. But we are in Illinois. About a 5 hour drive. Lol.
