I could sneak it in the house without the husband seeing it

Some here may scream but,

having moved about 10 maytags at this point, I lay them on their backs very slowly. The tubs rest on the back inner pads and don't move much during the drive. Haven't had a any problems. Wouldn't do that with the Filter-Flo's.

I've NEVER had a problem with moving Maytag's. The suspension is a lot tougher than many think.
Laying them on their back, sides, etc, has never bothered them This works for me, your mileage may vary....
