Maytag Reverse Rack Direct Drive DWs.

My neighbor just picked up a Maytag Reverse Rack direct drive portable dish washer. I am curious to know about the machine. What should he look for, what are common issues, and what are their common care and feeding needs?

I will be visiting a cousin in Chicago through Thursday, but I'll check back when I can.

Filter!!

Clean the mesh filter. They clog easy and it dramatically drops the washing performance. The jets are probably clogged in the arms as well.

if you keep the filter clean, you will absolutely be amazed at the cleaning ability of this machine. They are loud, but will hold a huge amount of dishes, and will clean anything you can give it.
