maytag twin tub washers

Hi

Iam new to the club and I love collecting wringer washers.There always seems to be a story or two from owners when you buy them of someone in the family getting a arm/finger stuck in the wringer. What Iam trying to find is a belt for a maytag twin tub washer that a friend picked up on the weekend for 10.00. Its in like new condition except for the belt that turns the impellers inside washtub. I've tried maytag service and they don't make them any longer. Does anybody know of where I could locate one. It would be great to get this machine up and running. Its a model A50 Thanks Todd

Hi Todd,

Welcome aboard. This subject was recently brought up in a thread. Someone had instructions for making a belt. I can't recall who it was but it was very recent. Use the search function and type twin tub belt and see what you come up with. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Didn't want you to go unanswered. As you can imagine the same question gets asked quite often.
