Funny, Jeff. Thinking about colors, I guess my favorites are just white and almond. (love almond because I'm stuck in the 80's). Yikes, this could qualify me for BORING!!!

White never gets old, and I like the look.
Most of my kitchen today is almond, Fridge, stove, sink are, and then my DW and microwave are black to match the oven door. I also added black porcelain pulls for the cabinets and drawers which are painted something called "Swiss Coffee" Cap it all off with black and or chrome smalls(mixer, blender, toaster, coffeemaker) and its a nice look.
Perhaps I should have the Maytags live in the kitchen?
Jeff, if that 608 pair in in good condition and can be polished up, I'd put them where everyone could see them. My 12 series almond pair are in the kitchen, and I love the "purr" they make as they run. I love the idea of coffee colored door handles. I just might have to change mine over. I have an 80's Amana almond top fridge, almond KDS 20, and almond Litton microwave. Do you think this says something about me??????? LOL, enjoy the 'tags!

Jeff, CONGRATULATIONS on the new Maytags!!! They look great, and will be your first vintage set so we're all excited for you!!
In my opinion, Maytags aren't the least bit boring. From the early Gyratator AMPs to the Highlanders, to the post-1965 Washpower Automatics, they're ALL fun machines to watch!! Nice, long, slow strokes, great rollover, and, depending on the load, hurricane-like tidal waves!! What more could you ask for?
That kitchen is screaming for a Maytag pair- but I'd put in an 06 pair. The metallic blue back panel would complement the aqua wall oven. But when it comes to Maytags, they all look great. Keep us posted!

Yea Jeff, Looks wonderful to me. I have the electric dryer in harvest gold and it has never had a repair. I bought mine in 1980 just before Maytag was switching over to the new models. I use mine every week along side of my Kitchen Aide washer from 1995. Have fun. Gary
