Maytag washer serviceable water pumps

Can anyone zero in on the year Maytag installed non serviceable water pumps on the assembly line?

It was announced in the October 1976 "Let's Talk Service" issue that Maytag revised their poly pump to make it non-serviceable.

Interesting - so did the pump transition happen in stages? (First the change to the pressed-on pulley, and then the sealed top and removal of those screws at a later date?)

Two months later (December, 1976), the following appeared in "Let's Talk Service":
