I was just reading the thread on consumer reports dishwasher reviews from 1974 and I see the maytags were rated very high in that era. I have one I have been trying to adopt out for awhile now!

it's harvest gold with a wood top and I have had it about 5 years. picked it up just outside cinti. runs great and has never leaked a drop!

I can't bring myself to throw it away yet so it will go to the back barn this fall if I can't find someone to give it a good home and enjoy it for what it is! a beautiful, classic vintage 70's dishwasher!

it's free to anyone who would like it! here are some pics!

here's some pics!

it has very simple controls

just a dial and 3 buttons! like the way the dial is lower on the door panel and not on the top! unique!

door lock lever is different too faces down and not out!

here's the bottom spray

arm and filter. stainless steel on both arms and filter.

that dark spot on the left side is the water inlet.

bottom of tub does have some stains but tub is in great shape overall!

interesting shaped calrod unit too!

bottom rack

is rusted pretty severely in the front on that one area but overall it's in good shape! and it's free so hey, it is what it is! it's still a beautiful dishwasher and runs great!

the more i look at it

the more I can appreciate it for the fine machine it is! classic 70's! when things were made well and harvest gold ruled, along with coppertone and avocado ofcourse.

harvest gold was my least favorite color at that time as avocado was everything to me! now I can see how beautiful and sunny looking that color was! today everything is so drab looking!

makes me want to keep this one myself but if I can get it a good home where it won't just be parted out then let me know!

till then think i'll put it in the kitchean awhile and move my old Frigidaire coppertone 60's model to the back barn instead! at least for now! might as well have some fun with it till I find it a home!
