Jasper, the jukebox cat!

We got him at Petsmart and they describe him as a Domestic Short Hair. Anything but. From what I can tell he's a Ragamuffin.

I don't think he likes flash photography.

He's lovely. My favorite coloring as well, black and white, just like my Border Collies LOL. Looks big too.

He has a very high-pitched voice, almost like a kitten.

He looks like he's thinking "what in the sam hill do you think yore doin'? " He's got it made now!

declawed

His front paws are declawed unfortunately from his previous owner. The same people that dumped him in front of the Petsmart.

That really pisses me off. That's like chopping off your fingertips and making you walk on them. Imagine how that feels.

Anyway, he's doesn't misbehave until 3am when he wants to run laps around the house LOL. Otherwise he's the sweetest kitty ever.

Hi Jason,
Jasper is a beautiful kitty, its great that you have given him a loving home.

No I don't agree with declawing either, unless a household member has a condition that would effect their ability to heal etc.

Declawing

I'm so anti-declawing it's unreal.

Problem: Cat scratches the furniture.

Solution: Buy a nice climbing/scratching tree and they will leave your furniture alone. No pain and the cats love it.

I'm very much against declawing too. Does he go outside? Keep an eye on him then, in case of danger he won't be able to climb up a tree.

Indoor cat

He's strictly indoor. All of our cats are indoor. There's no other way.

Indoor Cats

Hi Jason,
I'm pleased to hear Jasper is an indoor kitty. I have 6 Cats and as you say it's the only way, there are just too many dangers outdoors (A lot of them from Humans!) for our beloved felines. My Cats are perfectly content and happy indoors, they love to sleep in bed with me LOL.

My dear Boris was declawed in front by his first set of people, and I think it is barbaric, I wish declawing was illegal here in the States. He retains his hind claws, however.
