Hi Paulinroyton,

Nice "family" photo, can you tell us more about them?

As I'm "across the pond" I'm not so familier with many of the models "over there".   Is that another Hotpoint sitting next to the one with the red top?   What is the one with the red top?

Thanks!
Kevin

Hi Kevin.

Been on here for a while. Firstly I have a Hotpoint Spin Dryer which is about 40 years old, next to that is a Hotpoint Empress, date unknown, then a Hotpoint Top Loader model 1509, then a Miele W754s, think its from the 1980s, finally a Hotpoint Aqualtis.

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul.

Love the lineup and good to see the pristine Hotpoint spinner again. Glad it issurrounded by relatives, both distantand a bit closer.

The Empress looks in superb condition - though off at a tangent a bit, you need a matching iced diamond fridge too, complete with matching red top!

Great to see another 1509 in the 'preserved'machine stable. Is this the one that was on ebay recently?
Which version is it? 1509/01, 1509/02 or 1509/05?

Liking the vintage Miele and the Aqualtis too.

Hi Paul, how are you.

Been away in London and came home on Saturday spotted the Hotpoint top loader on eBay. When I viewed it on Monday the guy had put a buy it now or make an offer, so of course just had to have it, lol. The serial no is 26517 107. Model 1509, code 05. It came from an old house clearance and was the daily driver. Tried it out today and she works fine.

Have you any idea how old she is. Also are you able to date the Miele. It's model W754S, serial no, 10/8516250. Made a few videos on YouTube under RoytonPaul.

As for the Aqualtis. Our next door neighbour was having a new fitted kitchen and they gave me the machine. I of course sold my LG washer as I was sick of waiting hours, days, months for it to balance and go into spin, lol.

My other half has said no more washers now, but all 3 are plumbed in and ready for action.

Cheers

Jealous

I am so impressed with how well made and how dependable and tough UK Hotpoints seem to be. The Empress has so much style and character to say nothing of turning a huge load. I'd snap up a Hotpoint twin tub in a flat second if one ever came my way.

Hi Paul, great additions in that line up Full Hotpoint hit and a Miele...now that 1509 has been causing consternation in certain people who swear it WAS on ebay but nobody could find it!!! Like the spinner, the Aqualtis should have good life left in it, all you need now is a Hotpoint twinny, and dryer ..LOl

Kevin the model you asked about is The Hotpoint Empress, a wringer washer from the 40`s up to the late 60`s, it was the workhorse of UK Washdays and was a very popular washer, 10lb load with power wringer, the first models had a hexagonal tub which was marketed to help give a better wash, the last models had a round enamel tub!! The cabinet door on the front stores the wringer when not in use!!

Heres a pic of the inside:

Hotpoint on ebay

Hi Mike.

I think I searched under washing machine leaflets and the Hotpoint top loader appeared, but when I searched under Hotpoint toploader nothing appeared. I think the seller must of made a mistake.

Yeah, really pleased with the new find. The 1509 is in really good condition. Just love vintage machines as they don't take ages in try to balance a load to spin. ..

Cheers

Paul
