Just picked up a huge (300 oz) vat of Tide HE liquid at Costco.
Washing some throw rugs (cotton, mostly, used to keep toes warm in bathroom). The aroma is pleasant (the Tide, not necessarily the toes) and it appears to be relatively low sudsing. It's not particularly concentrated, though, getting only 78 uses out of all that juice. That's about 4 oz per large load (I measured how much the cup holds). The medium dose is about 2 2/3 oz. I actually haven't ever used Tide HE liquid before, having found the powder to be a good cleaner but with too many optical brighteners to work well with darks. But I couldn't resist the big jug for the usual low Costco price ($18). If it leaves the rugs soft, not stiff, after line drying, it may be a winner. Otherwise, it will go into the ever growing detergent collection...
