Stephanie-
You have no reason to hang your head for where you live. You know the difference between your A's and your Z's and you are all the better for it. Just look at all the things that you've brought back to life and restored so beautifully
.
Trust me, those fools that have that ability of being all mixed up live everywhere and we just have to laugh at their stupidity sometimes and thank the stars and hope that-
"Oh well, I wasn't the one that made them that way!"

and pray just a little that they aren't related somehow.

LOL

Sorry about that-

I figured you were joking and didn't mean to imply it in the literal sense. ;) Sorry. There are quite a few of those rednecks and dimwits in my neck of the world as well especially if you happen to be from certain areas of "Bawlmer Hon!" Bred, born and raised here, but I live in BALT-I-MORE! lmao
Anyhow,

Have Yourself a Great Day!!!

That's the thing. They didn't bother to proofread it. What's even better is that they uploaded several pictures... LOL! Holy moly, Steph. Is this what I'm in for? LOL!!!

Well, at least the seller is able to write a relatively clear description (I understand it's a 1992 model of a 1929 MB replica), he leaves his phone number and he's also able upload pics even if they are the wrong ones!

So if anyone is interested, there are chances he (or somebody he knows!) might be able to email the correct ones! There are so many ads without any pics, email-only contacts that never get back to you and so many people who just don't bother to advertise things that aren't valuable to them so they just throw them away!

Some people (myself included!) don't like or want to be contacted or visited by people they don't know, either because they're afraid of others or ashamed of themselves or their living place(and I fall in the second category!), and that I can understand but still...

What they probably have is a 1929 Mercedes Benz replica car, otherwise known as a Giselle. They were made to be used with a VW chassis, but I have seen people use Pinto and Vega chassis with them. At least with the Pinto and Vega chassis the car is front engined and water cooled like the original.

I got to drive a Pinto version for a little bit back in the 80's. It drove like a Pinto, but there was LOTS of body flexing going on even at speeds of 30mph or so. I couldn't imagine going 60mph in one of these.

Here is a video of one of these:

I know a woman who has a Gazelle, her's is made on a Chevette chassis!  I have to admit that I would have a lot more interest in a Chevette or a Vega than in a Gazelle. Even in a Pinto!

I remember when I was a kid, my father had a green Pinto hatchback that a relative gave him (that was in 1980 when I was just 3 years old). I remember waiting inside the car with my father next to the cemetery in my hometown for the tow truck as the car was stalled. My father had to go to walk to his office just a block away to call a towing and then we waited inside the car for what seemed to a kid like a long long time. At least, there was no big dog around like in Cujo!

He got rid of the car that time and soon also replaced his '78 Bronco XLT with a 1980 Rabbit L diesel...  Not my favorite car!
