Help Support :

Last but not least, TIDE!

Regular TIDE I must have purchased 8 years ago! One of the last of about 250 boxes I purchased in a close out sale, for pennies! Made in the USA.

Rinse softener

A good brand, which I use very sparingly. The water in Buenos Aires is extremely soft. A gallon bottle.

Tripolifosfato de sodio

You surely know what this is! Locally available for the equivalent of US$ 3 for a 2.2 lb bag.

Starch and German pretreatment

This is a box of the starch I use on my cotton sweaters (which I use a lot). Two TSP diluted in cup of very hot water, poured during the second (last) rinse, no softener, low spin, high heat dry. Sweaters stay great without getting "baggy".

Saptil is an excellent pretreater for shirt collars and cuffs, though I seldom use it. It is imported from Germany.

Pretreatment

Mr Musculo, with super concentrated Active Gel formula, whatever that means! Great for food stains on tableware.

Washer Close-up

Model LAT 9806 GGE. Both machines are export models for 220-240V, 50 Hz, and were TOL at the time of purchase. Sorry for the dirt below the timer, I swear it is not noticeable in "real life". I saw it after posting the picture, please believe me I have already cleaned it!

Close up of dryer

Control panel. Gosh, I will start taking pictures of all of my appliances. Afte looking at the pictures in the computer screen I have seen dirt on the controls which I cannot see with the naked eye!

Dryer timer

Dryer timer close up. I seldom use the timed cycle, but I had just finished drying a Queen size duvet conforter, which I usually time dry.

Year of purchase

Decodriveboy, this is the most versatile washer which I have ever gotten my hands into. You can choose between five water temperatures: hot, hot + energy saver, warm, warm + energy saver, and cold, plus you have the choice of three rinse temperatures (depending on the cycle): warm, warm + energy saver, cold. You have a choice of 3 main cycles plus a soak cycle, with the option of two speeds for wash and spin, two washes for the regular cycle, and two rinses for all cycles. If you can't wash it here, it can't probably be washed in a washer.

The dryer is an excellent dryer, with automatic and timed cycles. It is electric, also for 50 Hz. A full load of towels spun on high will "bone" dry in 45 minutes. I usually bone dry towels, to avoid developing funny smells while stored.

I think I purchased this machines locally about 7 or 8 years ago. Cross my fingers, but they have run non-stop ever since, without developing not even a squeak and absolute zero rust in the cabinets.

Correction

Now that I think of it, I think I purchased these machines more than ten years ago, probably more than 11 years ago!

Why not?

...go on and post a picture of the Finish products I use for my dishwasher? The PowerPowder Detergent is manufactured in Germany, but bottled locally to keep costs down. It contains enzymes and active oxygen, and it is super-excellent performer! You can wash a full unrinsed load just with this very tiny amount of detergent. Great for the environment!

Ariel Baja Espuma

Sudsmaster, I just went to Jumbo, the largest supermarket in my area, and there were just two varieties of powdered Ariel: Ariel OxiAzul Max (which I have) and then Ariel OxiAzul Max "Nature" (just a scent variety). Then there were liquid Ariel Futur and liquid Ariel OxiBlue. Sorry, no Ariel Baja Espuma. I will have to check the local web page to see availability.

Ariel local web page

Robert, while searching through the local Procter & Gamble web page to check for the different Ariel varieties locally available, I found the following under the Instructions for use: "Use the recommended amount, 1 practitaza = 100 g". This is the first time I find a relation between the practitaza and the amount of detergent it corresponds to. This comes to about 3.5 oz.

Sudsmaster, I am including the URL for the local Ariel web page. I guess it is somewhat outdated, since these are not the varieties of Ariel powder I saw available today at the supermarket. But then, maybe they help you to identifiy how the detergent bags of Ariel Baja Espuma look like. Please feel free to ask for the translation of any part of the page.
