Free Pictue Resizing Software

Hi thor,
Here is a link to VSO Software they provide a completely free program for Windows called VSO Image Resizer. Once installed it adds an option to your context (Right Mouse Button) menu; simply right click on your selected image file and then left click VSO Image Resizer. The program will open a small window (Shown below) with various size option 800x600 is more than adequate for a web page. The program will generate a resized copy of your image file with the size added to the end of the file name e.g. Picture 01 will be saved as Picture 01[800x600].

I hope this program is useful.

Sorry, I posted the wrong picture, I meant to post another picture where she ir riding in the car (this picture was taken at the living room of our beach house). Anyway, properly downsized!
 
Cold winter

We spent a week at the beach house about a month ago during our winter vacations. The house was literally "frozen" when we got there. Took about two days to warm up. This next photo was taken during one of those two days. They say pictures are worth one thousand words...

Ariel OxiAzul Bajaespuma

Here's my pic of 2 bags I picked up from a Mexican store in my area.

I believe they were old stock because I've never seen it since.

I have to say they smell really good!

Ariel Oxiazul Max

Monday (yesterday) was a holiday in my country, so I had plenty of time to try for the first time my recently purchased Ariel OxiAzul Max.

First washload: two large sofa covers, ivory color, 100% heavy cotton, one of which was somewhat stained by my dog Emma (she sleeps in one of the sofas). Stains were not heavy, but were a mix of dirt and who knows what else. Both covers with the smaller 4 arm covers made a full load in the Maytag TL, filled with hot water, one full "practitaza" (100 g) with one TSP of TSPP. I let the wash agitate for a couple of minutes, soak for half an hour, then completed the regular cycle (high agitation/high spin) with two rinses with a little bit of softener in the last rinse. Results: amazingly clean! Covers came out as if I had added bleach or some other kind of additional whitener. I would rate this wash a solid A+.

Second wash: one queen size sheet set with 4 pillowcases, one full size sheet set with 2 pillowcases, both sets 50/50 blend, one large 100% cotton tablecloth and 12 matching napkins, used during our Sunday lunch of pasta. There was a mix of tomato salsa and wine stains. Hot fill with energy saver option (dumbed down hot), one full practitaza of Ariel, one TSP of TSPP. After a couple of minutes of agitation I let everything soak for 10 minutes, then completed on wash and wear cycle (high agitation/low spin) with a little bit of softener in the second (last) rinse. Results: impeccable cleaning, no stain in any part of the tablecloth or napkins. Rating: A+

Third wash: a large load of white kitchen towels, plus 12 large white towels, all of them 100% cotton, washed in hot water, one full practitaza of Ariel, 1 TSP of TSPP, 18 minute wash on regular (high/high) with no soak, followed by two rinses without softener in the final rinse. Results: best ever I have obtained from this washer. Kitchencloths were as new.

I have to admit I am completely sold on this detergent, which, needles to say, has overnight become my daily driver for everything except darks, black and delicate clothing.

Frigilux, the detergent is blue (rather light blue I would say) with dark blue specs in it, which I suspect are the oxygen additive. The fragance is very nice too. I made a fourth wash last night consisting of a lot of work and dress shirts, handkerchiefs and a full size set of sheets, all light colored, wash and wear cycle with warm water, two rinses, softener in the final rinse. Everything came out perfectly clean, specifically the shirts, which were absolutely clean with spottless results in the neck or cuffs area. I am completely sold out on this product, and it was on the store shelves all along!

That sounds like the same Ariel Oxi-Azul I have. It does clean very well. I also bought an 'Americanized' box of Ariel (see Thread 13330) and it looks like a Tide knockoff. I don't care for it.

I love the scent of Ariel Oxi-Azul, too.

My Unilever-made British Ariel should be arriving any day now. It will be interesting to see how that compares to the Mexican version.

UK Ariel is made by Procter & Gamble. I think you might be thinking of UK Persil which is made by Unilever German Persil is made by Henkel.
You will just love UK Ariel it cleans brilliantly and deliverers unbeatable whites.

David---Thanks for the correction; I don't know why, but Unilever and UK Ariel are fused together in my tiny fevered mind. You (and whoever corrected me on the same point elsewhere) are so right: UK Ariel is P&G. I will try to remember that!

I'm looking forward to comparing the look, scent and performance of Mexican Ariel with its UK counterpoint, and the same with Henkel Persil vs. Unilever Persil.

My BritStash should arrive early next week...
