"Beauty's where you find it, not just where you bump an grind it," and that applies to washing machines that do more than just the job. I paid 250 dollars for a vintage dryer and another 230 bucks to ship it, and now easily more than 100 bucks in restoration parts. I don't think anyone but collectors can put a price on collectables. People pay thousands of dollars for coins that are rare but still worth 50 cents at the bank. 800 bucks for a washer never used is not bad considering a 1955 Impala never used would probably be in the 70,000 to 100,000 range, even though a new Impala costs 25,000. I think with collecting, you pick your addiction and enablers. Just my 2 cents.
