Yikes, could they mean turquoise?? Shame the picture doesn't show that up, but if it is the original colour it may be a '55 or '56!
 
That Frigidaire is Sherwood Green

and from ads I have in Better Homes and gardens I'd say that was more than likely a circa 1954 model. Remember Firgidaire brought out Stratford Yellow and Sherwood Green in 1953. The '56 models had an aluminum panel on the upper section of the door (or the freezer door for a 2 door model) PAT COFFEY
 
TIming is everything.

That Frigidaire script was only used in the 55 model year. Many appliance makers introduced their new designs and models to coincide with the model years of car-makers. The 55 model year would have been intro'd and available in the fall of 54. Dealer stock may have carried over until late in 1955, even 56 if they had many in inventory... Colors were not available until the 55 model year, but may have been introduced as early as fall of 54.
