mid-'50s hotpoint is a speed queen?

looking over a '60s home repair book,in the washer repair
section,was a 1955ish hotpoint washer and underneath it was
all fluid drive speed queen-did speed queen make these for
hotpoint back then or did hotpoint make that design under
license?
Mechanism was slightly different from a mid-'60s SQ;instead
of a yoke under the fluid drive to pull down into spin,it
looked like there was a lever over the top of the fluid drive
to push it down to spin.

book is a '56 or '57,hotpoint design starting in '58...
