Some of you may remember a while back I posted about the door seal on my Miele leaking..well, the leak got worse so I thought I would bite the bullet and call Miele out.
The girl on the phone said if its wear and tear on the seal, it would cost me £40 for the part and no labour as the machine has a 10 year guarantee. (its 6 years old).
The guy came today and said it was caused by the hard water making the rubber brittle and said the machine has done over 5,000 hours of washing!!
Anyway, he left and said there would be no charge...how good is that!

Lesser companies would be quibbling about 'wear & tear', and 'not covered by the guarantee'!
