Miele bearing job?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Salvage job.

It is not worth $500.
If you are doing it yourself then it is a straightforward job.
There are plenty of YouTube videos of Miele bearing jobs.
I would buy generic parts. Its not worth the cost of buying Miele bits.

Worth Salvaging Only If You Have A Similar Model

That uses same parts, and or are willing to take on swapping out the bearings yourself.

Fully operable Miele washing machines have been offered for less, much less and still had no takers. I wouldn't give more than $50 for this unit and again that is of one has use for the parts and or is certain has the chops to do the repair.

A front loading washing machine with shot is nearly worthless IMHO. You cannot run the unit as is so what is the point?

MieleUSA does not do bearing replacement in the field. Unit must be shipped back to Miele's shops in Princeton, N.J. Normally Miele will decline to do such work at all except under warranty or if the customer insists. Just the shipping back and from New Jersey can be costly, then you have parts and labour....

Somewhere In The Archives

A member from Canada (IIRC) posted his saga of attempting to repair the bearings on his Miele washing machine. As one recalls he eventually gave up and decided to use the machine for spare parts.

While one can use generic bearings if other bits are damaged and or require replacement such as the spider, outer tub, etc.... they must come from Miele and are not cheap.
