Miele Dishwasher minor damage to interior of door.

I have some fairly heavy handed individuals in my household and I have noticed some minor bumps and dents on the interior of the Miele dishwasher door. They're just cosmetic but they're annoying me.

Are these normally something that happens?
I don't remember them on my previous Bosch machines.

We've had our Bosch for a couple years now and haven't had any dings or dents. Seems to be excellent quality, we have been extremely happy with it.

I have several dents and dings in my Miele dishwasher. It just adds character to it and shows its well used lol

The Futura I got at the ReStore last year has a couple of dings inside its door too.  I think it all depends on the user(s). 

 

I don't give them much notice anymore.  The machine kicks ass, looks great inside and out otherwise, and I got it cheap so I don't mind.

Miele DWs Use A Very Good Grade Of SS

But it is also very thin compared to many other brands and dents very easily, The dents generally do not hurt anything, but it is part of their planned obsolescence, they expect that you will get tired of looking at a dented scratched machine in a decade or so and get a new one.

 

Now my Whirlpools were a built to last DW that are showing little sign of the heavy use they have had in over 30 years of dinner parties and daily use.
