Miele or Bosch?

Hello everyone,

I need opinions I have a chance to get a Miele dishwasher for a reasonable price. My question is....In your opinions should i stick with my newer model Bosch or go with the older model Miele? I don't know the model or year of the Miele but I have included a pic. Any opinions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

New Bosch models are pretty good,with many features and great energy saving.I think that it doesn't worth to swap it with an older model only because it is miele.

Older miele's use 3 wash arms at a time and have more water in the sump.

I've got an advanta 2020 that uses almost 2.5 times more per fill than the new 4925 series.

Depending on the age though, there isn't a fan or heating element for the dry cycle. I can't see the model though.

If you are keeping the bosch and really aren't out anything getting the miele, try the miele out.

It's a fairly higher end Miele.

Both machines are sophiticated in their own ways. The Miele will sure be faster and a little more interesting racking wise. Ad the drying is just completly different.
The Bosch however has a far far far more sophisticated sensor and control system, a far more developed pump and is more efficent and a bit more silent.

If you have fun playing with a new machine for a while, get the Miele, store the Bosch, then use the Miele for a year or so. Afterwards, you can always sell either, had fun playing with a new machine and gained some experience.

It looks to be late 90s or early 2000s. Hard to tell from the pic but it looks like it has the exhaust vent directly below. The Miele name on the top left, that indicates it ha fan forced turbothermic drying which uses the residual heat and works well.

the Miele you could get is a high-end model from the early 2000s (it came just after the TOL model in the Miele range of the time), it features lots of different washing programmes including a no-heating wash to use if the machine is connected to a hot water faucet (standard in your country).
I've recently switched from a 10 y-o old Bosch to a vintage Miele dishwasher (model G562) and I'm very happy: I didn't notice any remarkable change in my electricity bill (I always used the Auto cycle, I'm not a fan of those Eco programmes taking ages) and everything it washes comes out wonderful. I do advise you to make good advantage of this chance!
