Hi everyone!

Not sure if you all remember but some time ago, Miele announced in one of it's press releases, that they would be releasing a series of models with downloadable programme packages which you could tailor to your lifestyle.

Well they're here...
I found the list in the Manuals section of the Miele UK site. I haven't been to the manuals section for a few months however, the manual was coincidentally uploaded only 3 days ago.

titled "W 1945_additional programme packages"

The list is below... and part (most) of my interest in washing machines is the programming.. so as far as I'm concerned the more programmes to use, the better! However even I'll agree that one step too far is the "Toy building blocks" prgramme, allowing you to wash Lego(?!!!) in your machine using a netted bag!!! (Not my words, but Mieles!)

Eco
– Cottons Eco (20% saving)
– Cottons Eco plus (30% saving)
– Minimum iron Eco (20% saving)

Home
– Curtains
– Down filled items
– Pillows
– Proofing
– Silks/lingerie

Hygiene & kids
– Cottons hygiene
– Express 20
– Kids' quick wash
– Minimum iron hygiene
– Toy building blocks

Nursery
– Baby towelling
– Baby wear
– Kids' sleeping bags
– Nappies
– Soft toys

Sport & leisure
– Bathrobes
– Outerwear
– Proofing
– Sportswear
– Trainers

Anyway, have a download of the manual and let me know your thoughts!

Oh, and I checked out the W1945 whilst i was there and it has a new "Eco Feedback" function which seems pretty cool. Showing you the approx Energy and Water consumption before the wash and the actual results after.

Toy building blocks

Aren't we can wash Lego or other plastic toys already with the "plastic" program on Miele Dishwasher?

The new Miele Eco option works in the similar way to VZug Adora 'Night-saving' option.
What happens is that the wash time is lengthened (between 25-50 minutes longer) and the wash temperature is lowered. Energy savings are between 10 and 30%, water savings 10-20%. For example, if you select Cottons 60 + Night saving the temperature is 42°, Cottons 95 + Night saving = 70°, Cottons 80 + Night saving = 65° etc.

Lego in the Optima .....

Lego would fly everywhere in regular DW racks ....
One could buy meshed cases with meshed lids.
These are special accessories for Miele lab washers / surgery tools washers. Guess also price is even more "special" than usual Miele standards :)
If one craves washing Legos the cheapest solution is a mesh bag for stockings and the handwash cycle of whatever washer :)
