Looks much better built (must say almost over-built) than the contemporary Miele dryers... ah the time when it was worthwhile to spend on Miele!

You can not imagine how solid an well built it is!!!!!
It really feels like it is made to work!!!!!

A newer series than this dryer was introduced in 1983, so your dryer must be from before that. I can't tell the exact year. If you have the serial number, you can contact Miele Germany (apparently this dryer was originally sold in Germany) for the exact date.
