Anyone else have issues with their W1 reaching max spin speed of 1600 rpm on the towels cycle? I can't remember the last time mine actually did a 1600 spin on this cycle.

I have no issues with any other cycles reaching the max speed.

Perhaps run a typical load or three of your towels on a cycle other than Towels that allows 1,600 RPM spin to check if the Towels cycle or the towels load is the source of the limitation.

Thanks Glenn

I typically wash my towels on the normal cycle and there are no issues getting to 1600 rpm.

I'd prefer to use the towels cycle because the wash period is much shorter but am forced to use the normal cycle so they get spun out at 1600.

not that it helps but is it because the OOB sensitivity is increased in the programming for the towels cycle because it knows it has something that is susceptible to becoming unbalanced?.. Someone else could word it more straight!

I was wondering if there might be a logical explanation behind like "customer surveys found out that the majority of consumers are too lazy or too ignorant to shake out clothes before transferring them into the dyer or hanging on the line so we decided to reduce the final spin speed of the towels cycle to improve the softness of towel" LOL

I`d just use the normal cottons cycle maybe with "short" and "extra rinse" selected if this is an option on the W1.
Is there a Miele customer support line in the US? Another possibility would be a software update which is not reflected in the printed manual.
