Miele Washer W3035

Hello Everybody

My Miele washer W3035 got a fault error (F52, I believe). I had it checked out by local authorized repair provider and as it turns out, it needs a new motor to the sum of $900. Have decided not to repair it, but it's been sitting there. It's a waste to just have it sent to the junk yard since I know you can get more life out of it. I'm just not willing to pay for the expensive repair since I will be moving out of my roommates home into my own where I already have a Miele Washer and Dryer.

What would your recommendation be?

F52 dosen't ring a bell to me, F53 would be a tacho issue with a brushed motor.

The W3035 uses a brushless motor.
Very unlikely the motor actually is the issue.
These motors do apparently use a tacho generator according to Mieles parts diagramm - very much more likely it's just the tacho generator becoming loose or such.

But since you already condemned it - your question is what to do with a broken washing machine?

Scrap it?
Put it on a sales site free for pick-up?

Should be pretty obvious what to do with a broken appliance you don't intend on fixing...

Other than the error on the screen

What else does the machine do? Does it fill with water? Does the drum turn?

The motors are VERY reliable. If it has an issue, it would most likely be from the PCB.

Was the person that came out a Miele person or just a washer-tech?

Miele dishwashers may have F52 error fault codes, but not washing machines.
