NICE!

I'm not too knowledgable about the Maytag washers, but this one looks in pretty good condition. Hope it is and that you'll be bringing it home with you!!

got it!

its not a suds saver. as usual, they didn't seem to know about the lint filter. need to find a dispenser cup as its missing. camera is charging, will take some pics later. serial is 204963MW.

its kinda beat, well used, battlescarred... and lovely. ;-)

Might take you up on that. He gave me a white agitator and a new transmission, pretty sure its not useful to me tho, looks like the later one. I think its got a white softener cup, not sure if it fits. Probably want to use a turquoise one anyway - it deserves as much. :-)

Any advice on removing the bleach dispenser for cleaning? There seems to be some unspeakable horror down there.

There is a little oil in the cabinet... maybe its grease. I'm not sure if I should be worried. The agitation starts slowly but pick up after 2-3 strokes, and seems fine. Could be oil or grease on the belts I suppose. We'll see what happens after I clean it up a bit.

splashy wash

Luck!!!!

This is the exact 806 I'm looking for! You even have the rare chrome lint filter. So much envy.......

The rust on the base isn't that bad. As long as there is no rust holes, it can be sandblasted and repainted.

Have fun with!!

Euthanasia does not mean *Youth in Asia!*

~I've never seen anything this nice around here.
What do you expect in JOISEY? Are you from JOISEY? I'm from JOISEY too;what exit? *LOL* (ducks and runs).

Looks like the vicitm of a damp and unheated basement or garage.

I'm sure you'll have her gleaming in no time!

But, if you happen to decide to do a mercy killing or part her out, think of me please for the control panel!

Nice find-----just clean 'er up and apply a good automotive wax (I prefer Meguire's) and she'll be good as new.
(Evidently the dryer was on the left of this washer judging by the photo of the cabinet).

Great find!

{gasps} mercy killing? for a working A806 in any condition? here in the unimproved, savage suburban jungle of New Jersey?

surely you jest, sir. perish the thought.

this well worn beastie becomes the daily driver, at least until i get the 'queen set up as well.

I'd wax her but i don't want to wax over rust.
