Well after 6 hours of work my A408 she is up and running, I think the reason it was leaking ( from an earlier thread) the former owner had a two piece hose on the machine, smaller than what Maytag had used. I changed it out now she runs beautifully, did three loads of laundry. The Neptune TL has taken a back seat for the present time. Also the rubber feet have been hard to find. I put self adheasive felt pads on the bottom of the feet. They work beautifully. Mike

The rubber feet are still available.........for now, but Whirlpool jacked up the price 4 fold. I believe they're running in the high $4 PER foot.

I glued felt pads on all of my Maytag dryers since they hang out in the livingroom. Makes it MUCH easier to juggle them around on the wood floor so each one gets their fair share of use.

I use the 'Magic sliders' on my two matched Maytag sets. I can easily 'slide' the washers to the laundry sink, and slide the dryers to the plug.
Makes moving those appliances so so easy.
