Last night we saw a television program called "Million Dollar Listing". The show is about three rather bizarre young guys who sell million dollar homes in Beverly Hills and the surrounding areas. I am glad I only saw this show one time! I have questions about these guys:

Are these guys "metrosexuals" with attitude?

What is with that guy and that mushroom cap hairdo? Does he realize how bizarre and unbusinesslike it makes him look? He's always playing with his hair. And he thinks he's straight?

I have never seen guys that are this much in love with themselves. IMHO, they are one step below idiots!

And what's with the way they dress? Showing up in a hoodie and jeans to sell a 5 million dollar house? In last nights episode the seller of a house got ticked off because one of these guys showed up looking like he just came from a gym. The guy told him that he didn't like him dressing like that. You got the clear vibe that the seller thought he was unprofessional looking. The excuse was "his water and electricity were off that morning and he had to dress like that." Hmpfh! That kid lives at home with his granny in a million dollar house of her own! What a lame brain!

What do you all think?

Oh, and a $1M listing in BH wouldn't amount to much. Hell, plenty of homes on my block could beat that right here in downtown nerdville. So maybe those gym trunks and hoodies are appropriate for the slums they're selling.

I watched it once. I was surprised by the unprofessional behavior. Never watched it again. In this area, million dollars are still high end. I work in the million dollar neighborhood, most of the houses are 6000+ sqft.

Actually, these guys are selling homes anywhere from 2.6 million to 10 million dollars. Some of the homes are former movie stars homes.
The show is on cable, Bravo network to be exact.

These guys are in the 20-22 year old range. Who in the hell would want a kid selling their million dollar house? Especially with the attitude these guys have. Also doesn't seem to me that they have any real education beyond high school. Well maybe they took some real estate courses to get their licenses.

Welcome to LA

I deal with this every day. Many young professionals here in SoCal lack any aspect of profesionalism. It is really hard to find motivated, success oriented attitudes in this age group. As a college professor I constantly battle this. However, there are always some studdents who get it and they excell. I would venture to say in any single calss of 30 students - I don't know how 10 of them can walk and chew gum at the same time, 10 are destined to total mediocraty and are content with that, 5 are on the edge and with proper quidance can be inspired to do really well. The remaining five will always do well and make the others look pretty bad

humm

Madison is so hot omg i think hes bisexual
but thee others i whink are either metrosexual or straight

Bravo: TV's Gayest Network

What a change for Bravo. Once a home for highbrow cultural programs, it has become the gayest cable network short of ABC, Lifetime, Logo and HereTV!
"Million Dollar Listing" (an annoying but interesting program, IMHO) is the natural evolution of a network (owned by NBC Universal) that saw its future in 2003 with "Queer Eye" and "Boy Meets Boy." Today's Bravo is basically over-the-top concepts with a gay sensibility (and out contestants) in gay-friendly reality series--"Project Runway;" "Top Chef;" "Top Design;" "Shear Genius;" "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" and, of course, the always welcome "Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D List".
I still miss the Fab Five, however....!

Allen:

That was a very precise answer you gave there...

Now that I read your answer, I can come to my own conclusions:

The guy with the mushroom cap hairdo probably is wearing that so people remember him, in either a good way or a bad way....

All of them are in it strictly for the money. And money will drive people to do strange things.

Their arrogance is beyond belief, like one of the guys said "I have 150 acquaintances, but only 2 friends..."

If I ever met any of them, I'd like to smack them way into reality.......they are just very irritating young men.
