Just Now Home

I am home from the WashIn. I had a great time. I want to thank Stephen for inviting me into his home and allowing us to play with his awesome collection. I met so many people that I recognize by face from this club, but hadn't had the opportunity to meet face to face. Thanks to everyone that made me feel welcome into the group. Wish I had more time...

When is the next one?

Malcolm

Sorry for the small pics, I believe this is you Malcolm and we are watching George demonstrate the Frigidaire pulsating agitator washer. Guys, jump in as I may goof up the names and machines.

Photo III

Photo III Steve's Trash Chute ... We loved it, from the island in the kitchen there is a well built in (Looks like a soup well on a Chambers range) with a long chute attached, all of the trash goes directly into the trash receptacle...very cool!

Unfortunately...

I didn't take a single photo. Too mesmerized by the machines, I suppose. Thanks for capturing my good side, though.

Lotsa loads in the laundry lounge...

The machines:
- a 60's Maytag
- 2 70's Maytags, one is the large capacity with only 3 water level selections
- a 60's solid tub Speed Queen
- a 70's White Westinghouse
- a Frigidaire 1-18 poppy
- a Kenmore 900 with the Roto Flex
- a Whirlpool Imperial with the blue tub and blue Surgilator with chrome cap
- 3 dryers...Kenmore, Maytag, and Frigidaire poppy

All the machines have at least 2 speeds, and most have the lighted controls...
I did notice the Roto Flex had snagged a pair of undies under one of the vanes at the end of the cycle...
And that orange box Sears detergent makes ZERO suds...

Stephen always does it in style...lots of food, drink, friendly folks, and stimulating conversation...in addition to several weeks of laundry...
We had a great time...thanks again...

George
