Someone took very good care of that dryer! What a fascinating design. (I always liked the three way hamper door.)

Norge gas dryers periodically show up as pictures of the day and I've always wondered what that trap door on the top of the dryer was for. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations, Jimmy! Beautiful set. I like how the dryer pilot light door lines up with the washer lid. Those were the days when TOL washers and dryers were absolutely fabulous!! Thanks for posting all of the detailed pcitures!

Wow, I didn't realize that the Norge had a delay start option back in the day!!

If this is a DG-500, it retailed for $359.95. The washer AWD-502 sold for $399.95. Not a big difference in prices between the washer and dryer, much like today.
