Never understood why Servis put the break arm on the spin lid. Had the forunate opportunity to use a earlier model before this. Very much the same as this but with a standard lift up lid.
My god that was quick, well done, that one didn't even make it to my daily twin tub alert from eBay.
I managed to get an English electric wash and rinse this week , collecting tonight.
What did we do without eBay.
Excellent catch there Keith, its the later model with the safety catch, came in 72 - 74 for safety law....its the mid point of The Servis Supertwins and one of the nicest black & white simple design styles, of course this is the first with the Blue Two Stage Snap On dual purpose agitator, mines the earlier one from late 1969, without the interlock....are you collecting at the weekend, if so ring and pop in to Johns!!
Hi Mike,
I purchased this machine for a m8 of mine, he uses a twinny all the time for his business, as the elements far out weigh an automatice, ie: time, economy, volume etc..
The machine looks in good condition, and i cant wait for him to get it home, he is going to collect it Saturday, so will report once i see the machine.
Lance...the English Electric wash n Rinse look good, will be interested to know if it has the stainless steel tub or blue enamel..Mine has the enamel.
Should have collected the machine tonight but got delayed so hopefully will get it thursday , will let you know about the wash tub.
Am very curious , that's just another way of saying nosey, what business uses a twin tub , apart from a laundry of course?
Hi Lance...
Ummm yeah maybe a wee bit on the nosey side..LOL
He does does professional house cleaning, and some of his customers require the whole package which also includes laundry.
Keith
I know you will enjoy the laundry but I dont fancy ironing that lot with a Morphy Richards Senior iron LOLOLOL You really need a rotrary ironer (US = mangle, but that means a hand operated wringer for us) for that lot
Looking forward to hearing about the English Electric - another classic for your collection
Do you know if this model has the inner lid, if it has i will probably have to take it out.
Was it on the UK machine's or Oz supertwin's that had the two-speed wash speed ? or was that all just a bit of a joke..?
Cheers
Keith
