This guy is amazing! watch the whole slide show and some of the magic is revealed at the end.

I want to live here!
It makes me think of the old Twilight Zone with Robert Duvall where he is watches the little dollhouse... anyone remember that episode?

Our past is a powerful draw and in so many ways we try to capture it in order to explain it to ourselves. What started out as an exercise in model building and photography, ended up as a dream-like reconstruction of the town I grew up in. It's not an exact recreation, but it does capture...

Smith looks like a brilliant modeler. I like how he incorporates real backdrops on some of his shots.

For 100+ years before the advent of CGI/digital graphics, movies relied almost exclusively on models for their special effects. It's great to see someone continuing this artform.

BTW that Twilight Zone episode is called "Miniature".

Wow! I did not see this posted either! The guy sure has a sense for detail! I thought the streets looked a bit too clean, but other than that it is very realistic. He has put many hours in this fun project. Very artistic man.
