Monarch Electric 40 inch "Modernique" range on Craig's List

I was suring Craigs list today and found a gorgious Monarch electric 40 inch range available. It looks a lot like a Tappan Fabulous 400 and FRIGIDAIRE's 40 inch Flair.

C'mon. Greg! He's seen similar ones selling for $2000.00-$3000.00! In his dreams.....

If it was a Modern Maid,Caloric Tappan or FRIGIDAIRE, it would be questionable.However,Monarch was a range manufacturer that had many nice units including ranges,gas or electric,that could use coal,karosean,wood and propane fuels to heat.Chambers was another brand that had gthose options available.They were strong in the 30's,40's.50's and 60's prior to super markets and highways cropping up.Monarch went out of business way back in the early 70's I knew a dealership(Rudolph's appliance)in Baltimore that carried them and had them on display.they were expensive but built like tanks!

Wow, never seen the Monarch, are there any other Flair knock offs besides this, the Hotpoint Hallmark, and the Fab 400?
