Wow

Thank you for sharing this! One beautiful machine. Too bad all of the new appliances seem to look alike. Back then everything was so unique and cool.

Rick:
How fun are the Norge built machines! I used my Magic Chef Norge with Burpalator agitator this weekend. One difference with mine: the agitator turns in very slow motion during the neutral drain. It is so fun to see that perfect 180 degree arc in slo mo, then BANG and off it goes into spin.

Wow, what would that timer be considered? Seems much more elaborate than the typical "rapid advance" units.

It sure has some unique features!

rick, hmm, you're causin a somewhat purist here to have some blood pressure problems lol. You used the obvious two different size filter pans from the burp-a-lator era of the 18-20 lb. Norges--a larger one and a smaller one (when you put the fabric softener dispenseer on top of it). What was it that was in the back filer slot at the beginnign of the wash--I doubt it was any kind of legitimate Norge filter, or was it? I about had a heart attack when ya pulled the filter pan out of the back slot during the ifnal spin. Correct me if I"m wrong, but I don't think the larger agitator mounted filter pan could co-exist with the original back-slot filter pan because the agitator one was too wide? an interesting comment, kinda "Kenmore-ish", but I've never seen the "newer" style drain and spin coupled with the recirculating filter system--only this style drain & spin with the burp-o-lator filter system. Anuyway, I found it intersting the filetr stream water kept pumping through while it was draining and starting to spin--that's what I meant by kind "Kenmore"ish. Now a challenge, I would love to see this washer with a black bakelite agitator that was found on the Norge14/15/Monkey Warks 14/15 pound washer--like on Jon Charles' 1964 or 1965 Norge. THAT was the agitator I asssociate with the filteer-stream deisgn, not the white plastic agitator as found originally on your washer.

Rick that "touch n wash" is the coolest thing. Why should you spend your time endlessly turning a timer by hand. Thank You for the great video's. Simply Fascinating. arthur

Ok, Thanks for the nice comments on this unique machine! Now I will answer some questions..

The machine came with the white basket lint filter only. Gregm sent me the blue basket type lint filter, and I cut it down so I can use the LARGE burpalator pan filter with the SMALL recirculating filter.Darrell sent me the Burpalator agitater,as this machine only had the basket type filter. It always had the white plastic type agitator though, just the non-burpalator type.
I can also use the Small burpalator filter pan with the original LARGE basket type filter. The small filter pan causes a lot of splashing, so I usually just use the large filter pan, and the small "homeaid" basket filter.

This machine is a lot of fun, and is one of my favourites. I even like this machine better than my Frigidaires!

Any other questions or comments, please feel free!
