Montgomery ward rollaway wringer washer

Does anyone have any information or knowledge of a Montgomery wards rollaway wringer washer? It is approximately 30" tall, it almost looks like a child model.I have attached a couple of pictures for reference. Any help would sure be appreciated. Thanks!

Like Kenmore

Montgomery Ward is a brand name, they sourced appliances from various makers over the years. Their wringer washers came from various makers such as Wizard, Norge, and a few others.

That unit if not a child's toy looks to be an "apartment" sized wringer washer. Those small and portable units were the answer to those living in cramped quarters and thus couldn't fit a full sized. That and or for washing smaller loads such as lady's intimate apparel, baby's laundry, and so forth.

You might try searching for a similar model but under a different brand name, that likely will put you on the right track.

Cute Toy!

Try using a very bright light, flashlight or work light, and see if you can find a model number somewhere on the underside of the machine, or maybe on the inside of a leg, then do a Google search with the brand and the model number.

I do have the model number it is under the tub. I did put the model number in Google and there weren't any results. Any idea what year this might be. I haven't seen any listed or on eBay.

Model number would be of limited use

An Internet search may or may not bring up the item, but that still won't likely tell who made the machine for Montgomery Wards. For that information you either would need a model number decoding list (similar to what Kenmore has where you can tell by the first three letters/numbers who made the thing), or something else from MW saying where they got the machine.

Often with Montgomery Wards as like Sears/Kenmore you can tell by looking at an appliance who made it due to a family resemblance.

We Have a Winner!

The model number is from 1949. It sold for $49 and was one step up from the bol. This is from data in the Home Appliance Trade In Blue Book published in 1960.

This is the owner's manual for your machine or the model after, which would basically be the same.

As previously stated by Moi, this machine is one of the small portable diaper/dainty washers sold by several makers during the 1940's through 1950's or so. The stand is separate as you can see from the pictures.

Could "Naxxon" been the mfr.?    With the tub off the frame looks very much like some of the machines Spiegel carried at the time?  A
