Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hi Mike,

Is this unit you speak of the Harvest Gold skirt model with the white wringer and white porcelain tub? I saw them in the MW catalogue in the 80's I think. If you do find out how to date this I would be interested in knowing also. I have one of the last manufactured SQ's with the shorter legs I want to date. It was NIB and had the original paperwork with it dated 1991 as the sell date but I would like to know when it was manufactured. Good luck and happy wringing !!!

Well,

I am stumped here. I thought it was one of the later SQ's badged for MW but it must be an older model if it has a timer and blue "agibitator" knob. I have no idea how we can find how to date SQ's. I hope someone can help here. Mr Kenmore (can't think of his handle) told me he has no idea how to date them when I bought mine so if he doesn't know that says something. He has vast knowledge. Can someone please help us ? We have fallen on this and don't know where to turn LOL.

best thing to do at this point is post some pics....maybe someone can identify it as a sister to another rebadged type of machine, and come close to an actual age if not the exact one...

Norge (Simplicity)

The wringer washer looks a lot like my mom's old wringer. Her's was Simplicity (Canada). She only used it for 5 years cause the wringer only worked in one direction. It was always in the repair shop

She finally got a Maytag washer model: A208. She said it was the best laundry investment she has ever made. lol
