More Vintage Finds: Hotpoint 1504 & Hoover Superjet

And new to vintage...a span of 30yrs a great run, the design was basically the same - If it aint broke, Dont Fix It !!

Hoover SuperJet Dishwasher
At this point am hoping Al has more pics of the Hoover SuperJet Dishwasher, I am just editing film footage of the Hotpoint BUT just after the wash filming we had a flood (talk about Pride before a Fall) which gave me a serious sense of humour failure knowing we had to move every single piece of kit to mop dry...ha ha - NOT !!
There was a good outcome though, the next words uttered where " Well That Settles It - the newbuild is having 4 inch standpipes and floor drains - Yup

Hi all. I recently managed to acquire a copy of what I think is the 1963 brochure for Hotpoint's offerings. It really is a superb brochure, full of information, diagrams and wonderful photographs of their machines. Have also come into possession of some wonderful photographs of Hotpoints...

This was the 2nd model of Hoover Europes entry into dishwashing complete with spinning basket, this one has like the Hotpoint very light use, floor panel removed for checking of pipes etc...

I'm not sure if you needed another washing machine, but from the first photo it does look as though someone needs a car wash LOL.

The condition is almost perfect and so little use !!!!
What a great collection of top loaders and looks brilliant with all its relatives next to it !!!!
What was the history of the machine ?? Clearly been looked after . Amazing find well done

That 1504 certainly does look like it hasn't had much use, there doesn't even seem to be any evidence of filter tray rubbing on the text inside the lid. What caused your flood? Was it just a drainage issue or did one of the hoses give way?
The Superjet looks fantastic, it would match very nicely with a Belling Classic 80 with the black oven door. Speaking of which, I see that the intertwined circles motif on the Superjet was pinched by Creda in the late 1970s to decorate the whole of the top oven door of the Carefree.
Ooops. Bombsite. Guilty as tried. Sorry. LOL!

Wonderful finds gentlemen! I love the timeline styling of the 1504.
With that grid the dishwasher looks a bit like an early Indesit dishwasher. See the picture in this thread.

What a very clean washer - the pump is the worst looking part of the whole machine, and as you said, that's easy.
We can't have a peek inside the dishwasher? Pretty please? It looks to be in minty clean condition as well. Good scores, both.

Car wash?
Cheeky bugger! Having just done a 360 mile round trip in drizzly weather on salted roads you would hardly expect it to be clean!
Louis, the dishwasher was manufactured by Zanussi (who also made Hoover refrigeration products) and was also marketed under the Rex name.
Ian, I was actually thinking of a Moffat Fiesta 24 to match the door, although thinking about it i do already have the Moffat built in ....

Gansky1, will try and do some "money shots" tomorrow but for the moment here is a video of the very similar Autojet jet machine, also part of our collection I have not suggested to Mike (yet!!!!) that we take a buzzsaw to the door of one of them to install a window LOLOLOLOL

Was difficult wiping the smile from my face when the new acquisitions were unveiled to me. Problem was I was at work and people started asking me what tickling me
Really pleased that a 1504 now resides within the toploader timeline - just a couple more representatives required to essentially have all the styles that were produced. Love the 1504/1518 (the 1518 was simply an interlocked version of the 1504, with the peg on the lid) for their simple and smart styling and the fact that the neighbour opposite my childhood home had one. Cannot remember if it was interlocked or not but, upon it's withdrawal from service, it was put against the side wall of his garage to wait its fate, in full view from my bedroom window.
I too cannot get over how mechanically clean these machines are. Obviously used sparingly and well cared for.

I am over the moon that one of these surfaced and will be great to see both models of this range alongside one another, the other being the 4805 Auto-jet.
Very classy black door - does anyone know if the audi-esqe rings have a meaning at all?
Apart from the advert image for the Super-Jet, there are only a couple of other image of the 4809 I have ever seen. The most recent find is courtesy of Ideal Home magazine and is attached below (the fridge and freezer are Philips).
