This is from another website I love to visit (and contribute) to. (note: this is not a song I wrote but it fits this thread, kinda)
Mrs. Black's Little Helper
A filk by Nina Bott (aka the J. K. Rowling Stones) to the tune of Mother's Little Helper by the Rolling Stones
Scene: Sirius Black sits alone, surrounded by empty firewhisky bottles, at number 12 Grimmauld Place
SIRIUS:
What a drag it is staying home.
"Half-breeds, mutants, freaks!"
My mother's portrait shrieks
And I have to shut the shades to calm her down
And though he cannot reach her
There stands her little toerag Kreacher
Do I have to share my shelter with my mother's little helper?
He lives to serve the house of Black - I'd like to get him off my back.
There's a battle I should fight
But I must stay out of sight
That's Dumbledore's decision - such a drag
The Ministry's got me wrong - but they think I'm in Hong Kong
Still, why must I share my shelter with my mother's little helper?
I throw mother's things away, and he brings them back each day.
Why not fetch me some firewhisky?
This is such a bore - I'll drink four more
What a drag it is staying home.
When Harry was still here
I had a little bit more cheer
He reminds me so much of my old friend James
My family's a disgrace - that is why I hate this place
Do I have to share my shelter with my mother's little helper?
But if I did let him go, he'd betray us all, I know.
Why not fetch me some firewhisky?
This is such a bore - I'll drink four more.
What a drag it is staying home.
Kreacher bows to me each time
As he calls me blood-traitor slime
Says I'm not fit to wipe my mother's boots
And I'm thinking to myself, I can't trust this crazy elf
Do I have to share my shelter with my mother's little helper?
He'd love to help me on my way right to my dying day.
