I'm looking for Multimatic transmission parts for my new 1964 Frigidaire washer.

Anyone has that?

I need most of the parts for the brake mechanism.

On the picture, these parts:
15.515, part number 6595136
15.3261, part number 6566222

Today, I got a few parts and also some Multimatic tools. They are for the 1961 and older models but that might be ok if I reuse some of my parts...

Can someone tell me what kind of oil I should use in this washer? [this post was last edited: 1/8/2013-23:14]

Some progress I did today...

Still not ready to add water but at least it agitates and spins now!

Woohoo!! Way to go Phil, I can't beleive you got this beauty going again already!
I won't take bets as to how long the goodies I got last weekend will take em to get running again... LOL

Wow!

Phil, I'm impressed. You really are doing a fantastic job on restoring this mechanism. I just recently replaced both original belts on my '63 Multimatic Imperial after one broke. I was prepared for the worst case scenario but got lucky and all went smoothly.

I wish you continued success with this machine and look forward to seeing and hearing more.

Hi Joe, I didn't take many more pictures. Just a few others of the parts dismantled...

Here's one showing the suds return valves that will need to be fixed.

And another picture showing a part of the brake mechanism...

it would be nice to see one of these in action.....

something like a ccomputer generated cartoon 3-D of the parts in motion.....anyone have knowledge on how to do something like this?

My first thread resurrection!

Last weekend,

I received a SS valve from John and I used it as a parts donor to repair mine!

I still have to install the SS valve it in the washer but it seems to work fine now!

I took the picture while both were disassembled.

A big thanks to John (Combo52) for finding this!
