can't wait to see pictures of your new bungalow home!!!

YYYYIIIIPPPPPEEEEE!!!!

:o)

THANK YOU JASON & CHRISTINA

I appreciate your compliments. I am very happy.
This is my first home, and it took over 2 years
of searching, 2 mortgage companies and 6 months
on this house alone to get it done.

Yes Jason, the bath is awesome. I so wanted an
original one, and my Realtor who is very cool,
was laughing at how excited I got when I saw it.

I'm really excited to start bringing in my
vintage furniture. The kitchen has a Homart
Metal Washstand/Porcelain sink. I will put
that in the basement for a summer kitchen,
and I'm going to install a 6 piece set of
turquoise appliances I got out of another
house.

Here is another pic or two of the house
as it is now, it the condition I bought it.
I hope you find your dream bungalow one
day soon Christina :)

Talk soon.

Louis

I love that style of Homart cabinets. Congratulations! It's a beautiful home; I wish there were more people that looked to preserve these wonderful homes rather than just replace with new, poorly made stuff. You are preserving the original owner's memory too, which is uncommon these days. Most people don't seem to have any respect for the past. It's a shame.

NewVista58: That bungalow bathroom is so COOL!!!Glad you are PRESERVING it.Glad you are doing the same for the rest of that house.New fixtures would just look so out of place there.Congratulations on your "new" older home purchase!

THANKS AGAIN CHRISTINA, JASON & YOU TO REX....

This is what I love. So I sought it out
and am Blessed to have found this "gem".

I appreciate all of your enthusiasm.
I'm just moving in my stuff now, and can't
wait to get started setting it up.

Wishing you all the best with your
searches, for the things that please
you.

Louis :)

Congratlations Louis. / Further review of this video.

First I would like to congratulate you Louis on your new home. Those bungalows, along with the fixtures inside were made to last. I think it's great you're going to do your best to preserve the integrity of the house. May you enjoy it for many years. Now about that disturbing video, after I commented about it, I went back and did a further review of it. If this is a repair shop, or scrap yard, I noticed all the late model appliances were tucked away inside real nice. It's obvious that when they were filming this, they were putting on a show. However, I noticed first they went after the agitator, and them proceeded to smash the panel especially the timer. So now I want to ask those of you who have a lot of experience in these wonderful old appliances. Is it possible that instead of these guys being a couple of dunderheads not having anything else to do but vandalize these old machines, but may be doing it on purpose so there won't be anymore parts for old machines to be fixed, in order to get an incentive from the manufactures to make these machines obsolete? It looks suspicious to me. I could be wrong, and I hope I am. Also, I hope this isn't a stupid question.

clearly these people are sick...

but not all that unusual. A recent study was done where dummy turtles were put on a 2 lane road and observed, a high percentage of drivers intentionally swerved to purposely try to run over them... yes, this is the world we live in.

PS.. that's no McIntosh amp...

just a cheesy home-made rip-off of some Mc circuit apparently, they never made an EL-84 based amp, and listening to his choice of music, he's quite easily identified as a psychopath!!

Firedome: go along with you there on the homemade EL84 amp with the tuning eye tube "level meters" was like looking at some older tape machines that used that type of tube as a record level meter.n some of his videos they show "MAC" amps.Still think it is strange to me why this guy would destroy a quality product like a vintage Maytag if he likes MAC amps.I didn't like the song,either--SICK & TIRED of 70-80's music not that I don't like it but had to listen to it 8hrs a day 5 days a week why working at the top 40 station that was playing that type of music at the time.Their AM transmitter used EL-34 tubes as modulator drivers-drove a pair of 4CX3000 modulator tubes. Those and 6550's were popular in some AM transmitters as mod drivers-and one I dealt with used an EL34 as an RF buffer amp after the osc stage.those tubes can work with video-sometimes those and EL84 have been used as video DA amps.Workhorse tubes!!
