My 2018 TV appearance on an Australian Quiz show

Hi everyone,

 

I recently appeared on an Australian Quiz show called 'HARD QUIZ', with my 'speciality topic': 'Vintage Australian washing machines!'

 

As you can probably guess, my topic created quite a stir on the program. 

 

So you can try to understand the show: each contestant has a speciality topic they get quizzed on by the host who is a local comedian, so you have to expect some 'polite insults' and banter with him.

 

I have to thank Nathan for recording the program so you guys can see it. 

 

Although there's 2 hours worth on YouTube, you only need to watch the first 20 minutes of the program before my appearance ends.

 

David was in the audience for the filming and it was a lot of fun! See what you think of my questions....I've had lots of comment about them on social media.

 

I'm not sure how long this will be allowed to stay up on YouTube, so watch it while you can.

 

P.S: I've just been informed by YouTube that our UK members will not be able to watch this due to a copyright claim....you might be able to see this ABC iView.

When was/is the broadcast time. They really foxed on washing machine questions. They really weren't about washing machines but fun none the less.

The air date was Weds February 21. It's still on iView till August.

Stephen and I watched it on the night. We saw the ad for it a few nights before, I was all excited..."Oooh, that's Leon from the washing machine site...we will have to watch that!"

It was lots of fun as the show usually is, but the questions were pathetic. Where was a question on the Hoover Keymatic? What about a Turner Sapphire? What about a Launderoll? (NOT Launderall)? And the Breville question was about radios, not washing machines.

Any way it was lots of fun, good on you!

We really enjoyed seeing you on this show, you were great too bad they didn't ask the experts at AW to come up with a list of questions.
