the programs.... the bottons are: the green is the on/off botton, the blue turns the agitation faster (it have 2 agitation speeds, one regular, and one faster, dor more dirty or heavy clothes!) and the white leave the clothes in soak in the wather with softner when you leave the washer working alone and can't put the clothes in line to dry, to prevent wrinkle!

Very nice!

There's another gentleman here from Brazil who has an Electrolux as well as a GE, whose screen name escapes me for the moment.

That agitator is the same as an Aussie Hoover Premier, from late 1980s. The AU machine doesn't have that collar around the top, though. But those angled vanes on the flat base are just the same. The Hoover Premier machines rated very well for wash performance.

and here is just another brand of washer used here in brazil that I photografed (this is the most used model fron the principal brand, brastemp, that is manufactured from Whirlpool!) notice the front painel!

Brazilian machines

Yesssss.....smile!! These are the models we found in the shops in Curitiba, Florianopolis, Blumenau and in the houses of our relatives!
Can you, Braziboy, tell me if the BrasTemp machine (last pic) has an agitator or a pulsator - we found both in the machines we saw.
Ralf

Hi Ralf, well, I don't know what you mean "pulsator", but the agitator of this machine has an spiral, like most american machines, doing horizontal and vertical moviments!
hope I helped!
best regards!
Vinny...
