Is out of commission for a little while. I had some problems with the door not shutting tight enough and it leaked a the bottom of the door. I read online to push in at the top of the door while pulling out at the bottom of door would take take of it. Well I did this and no more leak.

The door wasn't shutting correctly causing a door open error so I tried pushing in a the bottom and pulling at the top. Still doesn't shut right. Yesterday I did a load of laundry, and couldn't get the door to open and broke handle at the bottom.

I don't know what to do next, would new hinges work, or will I have to get a new door?

Thomas, I've felt that way about many things, but not this. I spent way to much money for since I got it through Rent-A-Center, basically paid double the normal cost. I'm going to try new hinges and see if that helps.

ALL FIXED!

Took one of the hinges off and took it to the hardware store matched. Replaced both hinges, and glued the broken handle with Gorilla Glue. It's a good as new.

Sorry for being so realistic...

Until when?

Sometimes Electrolux does some things that make me want to set fire on my diploma.

One of those things are those hinges used on gallery.

As far as I know, that's a washing machine, not a piano.

During the spins some impacts and vibrations are absorved by the machine's body and that includes the hatch, the hinges and even the panel.

Do I need to say something else?

I thought about getting hinges from Frigidaire, but I couldn't wait. The door now has pretty brass hinges instead of white. I'm not picky as long as I can use it again.

This machine sure shakes alot during the final spin. I'm surprised it hasn't shaken something loose on the inside.

It's a 7.5 maytag Dependable care. I got it brand new in the box for less than $300.00 and it has all the bells!!!

uncommon usages of h-axis drums

Thomas, your Gallery fire purpose reminded me that here some people use FL cylinders to tumble chestnuts on the fire.

Fishermen prefer H axis toploader cylinders as they can be closed with the two small lids and work as a submerged cage to keep fishes alive

And what about this ?

Light fixture

Love the light fixture. Might I make a suggestion? Put an incandescent clear (non-frosted) light bulb in it. I wonder if the walls in the room would be covered with tiny circles.

Toot-a-mat

it's a metaphore. Too many recent washers are true POS :-(

Anyway the idea of reusing water is great.

Here we' re so stupid to use potable water to flush toilets while somewhere in Africa women have to do a ten mile walk to get some water
