I want to thank Robert for creating a forum / website / community where people like myself can express themselves with a hobby as great as collecting vintage appliances, items,etc...I have had so many people roll their eyes when I tell them that I collect vintage appliances..THANK YOU ROBERT FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME AND EVERYONE HERE! IT IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

I will turn 50 on Jan 09 of 2012...scary... time has gone by so fast for me.. I was so blessed to have grandparents ( mother's parents) so far ahead of their time and their love of Frigidaire appliances ( 1950's through 1970's ).

Before I was born my grandmother had a 1959 Frigidaire CI washer/dryer which was her pride and joy...they had to move in 1960 and left the set behind for the new home owners ( they demanded it...LOL ) Then in late 1960 my grandmother got a new 1960 Frigidaire CI washer /dryer...which was her favorite per what my mom tells me...

It was the best set she had ever had.....In 1968 she had to buy a new Frigidaire set due to the fact she had worked the 60 set into an early retirement.

The 1968 set lasted until 1987 when my mother pruchased the 1987 WP set...my mother was telling me this past weekend that she and my grandmother cried when the Salvation Army guys hauled off the 68 set...it was like losing a close or family friend...

My mother won a 1976 Frigidaire washer and dryer in "POPPY" red at a local appliance store give away for Mother's Day...but she settled for the money instead.. she has regreted that day till this day....

I am hopeful one day that maybe I might have a chance to make it up to her ...she is always talking about a poppy fridge or w/d....

Thanks to all of you for kind comments and friendship!
