My G7100SCi is "broken" I guess?

So, I recently switched jobs and moved. Had a moving company.
Don't have a kitchen right now. But set up my DW anyway and put my microwave on top to reduce the tipping hazard.
(Don't do that btw - it almost tipped over twice already. Only use free standing DW free standing - never use a built in DW without proper mounting.)


But - I encountered an issue on the last 3 cycles.
Thought it was just a coincidence once or twice, but now I think it did not take the transport well.

The detergent door does not open anymore.
The solenoid does activate (you can hear the click sound when you should and rinse aid is definitely still being dispensed).
But the door just stays closed. There is still spring tension on it. It just does not open that first bit so the spring can pull it fully open.


I'll have to do some investigation when this load is done.
But I don't think that I'll be abled to find out much.
I could with all likelihood fit the part myself.
But it's something like 150€. I could get a used one for 50€ somewhere I think?
But I paid only 550€ for the DW about 6 years ago (can't believe I have it for that long).

Right now I don't really want to spend money on a new one since I just had to pay the deposit for the new flat (which was a bunch here in the Munich area), I paid for the move out of pocket and I'll have to pay the monthly installments for the kitchen.
I can get along with it by just not using cycles with a pre-wash or waiting for the pre-wash to be finished.

But man - I don't think my moving company will cover that now and that would really suck if that I would really need to replace that part.

So.

The component test does open the dispenser - but barely.
You know how the sound of the solenoid and the slide opening is basically simultaneous (tick-clonk) usually? Even with nothing in the compartment, there is like a half a second pause between the solenoid operating and the slide opening, as if it's sticking (click pause clonk).
These dispensers aren't designed to be 100% water tight (still don't know why, but most aren't today) and my guess is what ever makes it that bit sticky means that the powder detergent I am using is somewhat clumped up and keeping it from opening.

BUT
I checked the fault history and there was the dreaded F52 error.

I'll keep an eye on it for the next few weeks and check after every cycle if I get an F52 erorr again.

I am not entirely sure if I will bother with anything if the F52 becomes persistent.
A used dispenser and a used relay would be 90€ in total.
And fitting the relay is annoying.


But we'll see.
The machine has only 1426h on the clock.
Would be really disappointing if all that happens at once this quickly into the machines life...
