Damn those thrift store employee pickers!!!
An Unemployed friend of mine scored a job at a local thrift store after they fired their truck driver. Apparently when the previous driver arrived to pick up the donations, he would swing by his own house and take the best items off the truck and hide them in his carport before he headed back to the store with the rest of the load. After he was busted they needed a truck to haul away the contents of the carport. Which was bursting at the seams. He attempted to cover the contents with blue tarps. So sad! The thrift store sales supported an attached community food bank.

General Electric's late sixties portable heater

Love this little heater. It draws 1650 watts. These were the good old days before electric household heaters (on 110-120 volts) were downgraded to 1500 watts max.

General Electric also had a smaller version, that used only one bank of resistance heater, instead of the two that you see on this heater.

Supersuds

Thank you so much.  I looked at the VH2 on the Vornado site and on Amazon.  This morning Woot sent me a deal via Amazon to purchase one for $40.00.  I jumped on it so fast the keyboard was smoking!  I think I got a heck of a deal and I can't wait for it to arrive.

Great price! Hope you like it!

I have an open plan, two story, cathedral ceiling apartment. The upstairs is much warmer than the downstairs even with a ceiling fan going. The Vornado does a great job equalizing temperatures and you can hardly hear it running from across a room.

In the summer you can simply turn the heating element off and use it as a low velocity air circulator.

The Vornado VH2 arrived yesterday and I certainly do love it!  Most even heat distribution I have enjoyed in a room heater in many years with out overheating and hot spots.  Definetly recommend it to anyone looking.

Can you help identify?

I have a heater that I have been trying to identify. Looking through Google images it appears to be old? Came across this forum so I thought I would see if it looked familiar to anyone.
