Brazilian Brown
We went with Brazilian Brown (that's the only way I am ever getting anything Brazilian much to my husband's dismany-too much info I know).
I sure hope I love it as much as I did at the Expo design center. We ended up getting it at Expo because we got an awesome deal. It was just a little over $62/sq ft installed. They were $5 cheaper a square foot ($69 a sqare foot) than Home Depot (which was $74 a square foot). Then, they had a sale going on with an additional 10% off. Plus, if you opened a credit account, you got another $200 off. Also, Silestone had a prompotion that if you bought over 25 feet of countertops, you got a free Elkay undermount double bowl, stainless steel sink.

All in all, I got the countertops and appliances disconnected, extra cutout for the cooktop, installation of the Silestone, and reconnection of all appliances for less than $5000. I do have 62+ feet of countertop space. It would have been only $4500 if my husband could have taken out the appliances but he is mechanically challenged. I have a ceiling fan that I bought months ago and it's still sitting there because he has no idea how to install it. I have made sure he has plenty of life insurance since he is so terrible at household chores (he was an insurance salesman but now he trains people how to sell). He sliced the end of his finger off with a sharp knife opening a package of headphones. Now you all see how challenged he really is. LOL
Private granite/countertop companies were quoting $6500-$7000 for installation of both granite and Silestone. I just didn't want to deal with granite sealing and maintenance.
I am sitting here waiting, twiddling my thumbs, until they get here. My son is watching the movie CARS for the 5th time since I got it yesterday. I am going NUTS! ;>)
