Hi Guys,

Just would like to share some pics of my vintage Miele. It uses 132 litres for a full wash including prewash! It also has a automatic fabric softener dispenser as well

Nice =). One of my vintage AEGs has a softener dispenser like that, would be good if they still incorporated such a feature. Would be good on a model such as the newer Miele Liquidwash machines.

Great machine here, just a pity you can't see the load going round in it lol.

Still, the automatic fabric conditioner dispenser is a nice touch.

Enjoy many loads with it!

there are Laundry Channel versions too

This is the W780. Have to say that huge amount of water is used for rinsing. While washing cottons or M.I. the level is not visible, just as the "daughter" w844 on left does.

For sure the younger girl uses much less water because of the ball valve between outer tub and coin trap

Rod, I see your W459 has a tilting lid rather than a detergent drawer like mine (year 1984), so it seems to be one of the very first sensor electronic from late seventies .... is that right ?
I am a little confused, as the early ones I saw on the german forum haven't the temp dial like ours, but only preset temps

I absalutely love the look of that machine! Theres somethin about decor panel machines i love the look of them. Though i'd be annoyed at not bein able to see inside as miele connect the door glass to the panel, unlike jons AEG which has a door behind the Decor door!

Is it possible for a drum shot?

Thanks for sharing!

Darren

The money shot

Hey Darren,

Here is the money shot of the drum.

Favorit,

The W 459 was built between 1979 and 1983, and your model W 780 was built between 1984 to 1986.

can't believe it.... mieles change more inside than outside .. mine has the very same paddles, but with two rows of holes on each side.

Rod, i see "french style toploaders" aren't common there, what's your guess ?
