I wanted to attach my online chat with Maytag today but can't figure it out. It's three pages and difficult to believe. Here goes; I discovered that there is an unmarked 'detent' and cycle at the "8" o'clock position on the cycle selector dial of my Maytag MVWC425BW1 washer. Being too lazy to start it and try to track what it does I went on line to Maytag chat. My question mirrored the above. After Jennifer verified my "exact" address where the machine is located, my phone number and "any alternative number in case we get disconnected", model and serial number, date and place of purchase she wrote "Looking at your control panel, I do not see an alternate option between Power Wash and Clean washer with Affresh. I explained that was just what I was asking. After more back and forth, Jennifer wrote: "I understand what you are saying, however we would not be able to advise, as it is not apart(sic) of this displayed model number. We are not technically trained due to safety and liability" WTF! After expressing my disappointment she gave me a "technical service" phone number. That number takes you directly to "Kitchenaide small and counter top appliance group". They couldn't help....

Actually

That is the whatchamacallit. It operates when thing one, and thing two are driving the thingamajigger after dark.

Clear now?

I think I would give it a whirl and see what it does or doesn't do. I'm betting its a detent for another model and is like a quick wash, delicate or hand wash cycle.

Well, that's not what I expected.

I went ahead and tried the cycle. Selected 'heavy soil' (which may have had an effect on test), 'hot fill' and no other modifiers.
Washer did a complete hot fill, no dumbing down and with enough water to just about cover load (seemed more than usual). It then agitated on fast speed (seemed really fast, sounded almost like a normal washer) for FIFTY minutes. I gave in at that point and spin/drain/rinsed load. I have to say the whites were really clean! So I guess MT wouldn't say anything about cycle for fear the load would turn to lint.
